FAQ
What owners ask before they reach out
Straight answers on confidentiality, process, pricing, and what to expect.
How confidential is this, really?
Every engagement begins with a signed non-disclosure agreement. We don't discuss your involvement with anyone, and we never reveal that we're working with you — discretion is foundational, not an add-on.
How is this different from a traditional audit?
An audit verifies that your numbers conform to accounting standards. We focus on whether your internal controls actually prevent misuse — where money can leak, who can approve spending, and whether oversight is real or just on paper. It's a different question, and a different lens.
How long does a review take?
Most financial-control reviews complete within a few weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your operation. We'll give you a clear timeline up front before you commit to anything.
Will this disrupt my team?
No. We work with minimal intrusion — reviewing documents and workflows rather than interrupting daily operations. Your people can keep doing what they do while we look at the structure around them.
What if you don't find anything wrong?
That's a genuinely useful answer. You gain documented confidence that your controls are sound — and a clear view of the small gaps worth tightening before they become a problem.
What do you need from me to get started?
Access to the relevant financial records and people, and a bit of your time up front to explain how things work. We handle the rest — and we work around your schedule.
What does an engagement cost?
Cost depends on the size and complexity of your operation, and we'll quote you clearly before you commit. Right now we also offer a Pilot Program — a fixed-price 10-day Financial Control Snapshot at a reduced rate.
What credentials does OversightPoint hold?
Our team brings hands-on experience in fraud detection, financial controls, and risk assessment for private companies. We're happy to share credentials and references during our initial conversation.
